We are pleased to welcome Anna Sansone, the newest member of our lab and a member of MSU EPET’s 2016 cohort of doctoral students (pictured below). Anna is a science teacher, currently teaching in Italy.
We are pleased to welcome Emily Bovee, a first-year doctoral student. She comes most recently from Arizona State University, where she worked in the undergraduate recruitment office. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and is interested in psychosocial factors influencing enrollment and retention.
We are also happy to welcome three new undergraduate research assistants joining the lab: Navreet Banghu, Megan Ginther, and Mackenzie Topolski. Welcome!
Kate Snyder gave an address at the APA Division 15 Business Meeting as the recipient of the Paul R. Pintrich Outstanding Dissertation Award. Congratulations, Kate!
Congrats to Cassandra LaMarche, Navreet Bhangu , Alan Chen, and Mackenzie Topolski, who presented a poster at MSU’s Undergraduate Research and Arts Forum on April 8, 2016. The poster, entitled “The effects of the Flipped Classroom Model on Student Attention and Engagement in the Classroom,” received recognition on MSU’s undergraduate research website and is currently displayed on campus.

Undergraduates Cassandra LaMarche (pictured), Alan Chen, and Samuel Braxton, led by Dr. Linnenbrink-Garcia, Dr. Cary Roseth, and PhD student Kristy Robinson, presented a poster at MSU’s University Undergraduate Research and Arts Forum (UURAF). The poster, entitled “The Role of Technology in a Flipped Classroom,” explored differences in performance-approach goals in two learning contexts.
