You-kyung completed her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and Educational Technology at Michigan State University, and started working in this lab as a post-doctoral fellow from Fall 2017. She is studying social-psychological mechanisms that are critical for students’ learning and development. Currently, she focuses on two different research topics. First, she is interested in how students regulate conflicts during peer learning in different contexts (e.g., cooperative or competitive contexts). Second, she is focusing on what factors promote STEM students’ motivation, which in turn leads them to pursue STEM-related career based on different motivation theories.
